WHAT IS LOI?
Loss on ignition is a test used in inorganic analytical chemistry, usually in the analysis of minerals. The procedure involves strongly heating or igniting a sample of material at a specified temperature, allowing volatile substances to burn, until the mass changes. In simple terms, the test is undertaken in order to estimate the percentage of the loss occurred in the mineral when it is ignited over a specific temperature. It is generally used as a quality test, commonly carried out for minerals such as iron ore, wollastonite.
What is our LOI?
Our LOI at Wolca is less than 2 percent. The mass changes by less than 2 percent on ignition. Hence, the mineral quality is very high as proved by inorganic chemistry.
What are the major uses of the available mineral?
The mineral available with us can be used in wall tiles, steel industry, floundary, chemical industries, ceramics and many other major industries.
What is benefication?
In mining, beneficiation is referred to a variety of processes whereby extracted ore from mining is separated into mineral and gangue, as the former is suitable for further processing or direct use.
What are the available mesh sizes?
Usually we supply 200 mesh sizes but on request 300 mesh sizes can also be supplied.
